Mets Triple-A Team Dealing with Tons of Crap

on

While between the foul lines may look beautiful and pristine at Cashman Field, the situation with the bathroom facilities is quite another story, according to an article published in the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The reporter, Ron Kantowski had a first-hand experience in which one of the 51’s emerged from a bathroom, with a gurgling sound emanating from the facilities. While the player made it out unscathed. This isn’t the first time the team has dealt with this shitty situation (couldn’t help myself.)

From the article:

Last season, when the 51s were in the middle of a pennant race, the toilet exploded. Guys got stuff on their cleats. [Manager Wally] Backman said he had never seen anything like it, not even in the Mexican League. He said if it happens again, he will pull the 51s off the field. Game called on account of exploding toilet.

“We may have to forfeit the game,” Backman said. “Those type of things shouldn’t happen.”
