Post Game: Yankees 4 Mets 3

on

Chris Young pitched 6 innings giving up 3 runs on a home run.

The Mets lost to the Yankees today by a score of 4-3. Young pitched well for 6 innings before giving up a 3 run homer to Ibanez. Jon Rauch gave up a game winning homer to Eric Chavez.

The Mets runs came on a solo shot by Kirk, an RBI by Thole, and a base hit by Chris Young. Daniel Murphy took Soriano to the warning track in the bottom of the ninth, by Citi was large enough to hold it.

Overall this is a game the Mets should have had but Terry stuck with Young a little too long and Duda made a costly error in the 7th inning.

Tomorrow night is a big game for the Mets. Dickey is on the mound against Sabathia, and a series win against the Yankees would be a feel good win and do wonders for this young team in my opinion.

Game time tomorrow is at 8:05 pm on ESPN. It should be a great one.
