Three Mets to make Opening Day debuts

on

Three Mets are taking part in their first career Opening Day. RHP Sean Reid-Foley, RHP Tylor Megill and RHP Drew Smith are celebrating their first major league Opening Day.

Only seven players in franchise history have made their major league debut in a start on Opening Day, including Pete Alonso (2019), Brad Emaus (2011), Kazuo Matsui (2004), Rey Ordoñez (1996), Kelvin Chapman (1979), Rod Gaspar (1969) and Al Moran (1963).

Best of luck to the ‘Amazins, especially Tylor Megill, who takes the bump tonight!
