Why the Mets should Trade For….Nevermind.

on

Back in April and May, articles were coming out almost on the daily, since the middle of June they have been scarce. What is the cause for this? Have I been lazy? Maybe, but the real reason for this is the lack of excitement brought from management.

In April and May we got to know the homegrown talent that has kept this team afloat through the first 90 games. June and July are when the GM and ownership is suppose to make moves to put the team over the top and ready to contend for the stretch run.

Unfortunately for this fan base not only will management not doing anything to help the 2015 New York Mets, there is not even a thought anything will happen. On the daily I get article headlines, “Five Players the Mets Should Target” or “Mets Should Set Their Sights on Carlos Gomez.” Unlike those writers I try not to waste my time on ideas that will only excite the mind for a few moments until you realize your just typing the ideas and have no power in making them happen.

The higher ups of this organization have proved time and time again they don’t care. I will not fall into the trap and write the article titled, “Why Yoenis Cespedes is a great fit.”

The thought came to my head, then I went on Mets Twitter  and realized there’s no use. Hopefully the talent that has developed through the system, and Michael Cuddyer, is enough to get to the postseason, I am not a believer.
