There’s no doubt that the morale level in the Mets clubhouse is at a high level right now. Since the acquisition of Yoenis Cespedes, the Mets have not lost, as they combination of stellar pitching and timely hitting has propelled them into first place.
Fans are happy, and it’s no secret the players are feeling some swagger themselves. Just as catcher Travis d’Arnaud, who is finally healthy and contributing in the balanced Mets’ lineup. As he was driving out of Marlins Park, fans yelled words of support to him, to which he responded, “Let’s take this sh*t!”
